Institutional fixed-income trading
Event-driven trading systems, embedded with the client's team
Institutional fixed-income trading infrastructure for a U.S. fintech firm, built embedded with the client's own engineering team. Fixed-income trading is unforgiving software: prices move constantly, orders must be right the first time, and trades have to be reported to regulators in near real time.
I worked across the full stack, from the React and Redux trading front end that traders watch all day to the event-driven services behind it: Java, Spring, and NestJS communicating over Kafka, market connectivity over the FIX protocol, and real-time regulatory trade reporting on AWS.
